Timothy
RVT and Surgery, Emergency, and Inventory Specialist
Hi, my name is Timothy, and I am an RVT and Surgery, Emergency, and Inventory Specialist at Lenity Vet Specialists + Emergency Care. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and well supported throughout their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy singing and playing guitar and drums, and I am committed to pursuing continual positive growth in myself and in the world around me. My family's beloved dog passed away a couple of years ago, and she is still fondly remembered by all of us, especially my daughter.
Education
I earned my AA in Veterinary Technology from Carrington College in Sacramento, where I studied from 2014 to 2016. Before that, I attended the University of Phoenix from 2010 to 2012, studying Human Services with a focus on social services and psychology.
Professional Background
I completed my in-person RECOVER certification through the RECOVER Initiative in 2024, which certifies me in canine and feline CPR.
Work History
I began my career at Banfield Pet Hospital #50 from August 2014 to May 2018, where I handled dental prophylaxis, anesthetic monitoring, and healthy pet comprehensive workups. I then spent time at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center, a teaching hospital and North American flagship VCA facility, working in surgical assisting, anesthesia, tie-over and ex-fix management, sterile resource, and neurology and MRI compliance. From May 2018 to April 2025, I worked at VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists and Emergency, now WAVES, as a surgery technician with surgical assisting, and as lead technician in neurology, moving between the internal medicine, cardiology, and emergency departments to broaden my experience without ever fully leaving any one of them. I also worked at SAGE Veterinary Centers from September 2021 to August 2025, focusing on emergency surgery, procedures, and surgical assisting.
