Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Nadia, and I am a Surgery Veterinary Assistant at Lenity Vet Specialists + Emergency Care. Providing high-quality care and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment is what matters most to me.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Creating and consuming art across digital and physical media takes up much of my free time, alongside puzzle and strategy video games, cult classics, philosophy and mystery novels, and cinematic masterpieces. Gardening is another passion — my collection runs to more than ten plants, including carnivorous varieties and succulents. At home there is one black domestic shorthair cat named Rango "The Worm", my first ever cat and a childhood dream come true.
Education
My diploma came from Arroyo High School, where I studied from 2015 to 2019, followed by general education coursework at Chabot Community College. From 2019 to 2023 my studies continued in the RVT programme at Carrington College.
Professional Background
My Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit was earned in 2026.
Work History
My career began at Del Valle Pet Hospital as Head Kennel Assistant from 2020 to 2022, covering animal husbandry, restraint for treatments and diagnostics, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for staff and patients. From 2022 to 2023 came a veterinary assistant role across both VetnCare Montclair and Groveway, where the work included anaesthetic monitoring during dentals and minor surgical procedures, preparing patients for theatre, running diagnostics, and fear-free restraint. Most recently, from October 2023 to 2025 at Santa Rita Animal Care, my responsibilities grew to include dental cleanings and radiographs, establishing appointment and equipment protocols, and helping stock the hospital for its first day of operations.
