Hi, my name is Melanie, and I am the Director of Operations & Finance at Lenity Vet Specialists + Emergency Care. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I stay very active — whether I'm swimming across the Bay, cycling to Big Sur, doing CrossFit, or running. When I get the chance to slow down, I love getting lost in a good book. I share my life with three incredible dogs: Heather, a husky mix I've had for five years; Marble, a three-year-old husky who loves to chat with me through her howls; and Twyla, a three-year-old Malinois and search and rescue dog who was adopted twice before finding her forever home with me.
Education
I hold a Master of Business Administration from AMOS Business School (2022), as well as a Professional Certificate in Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh, also earned in 2022.
Memberships
I serve as Lead Pilot at the South End Rowing Club, a role I have held since 2023. I am also a certified Search & Rescue K9 Handler with CARDA and a certified EMT.
Work History
Prior to joining Lenity Vet Specialists + Emergency Care, I served as a Hospital Manager in Concord, CA in 2025, where I developed a strong foundation in veterinary practice leadership and operations.
