I bring a unique blend of hands-on veterinary experience and a passion for supporting the team behind the scenes — helping make Lenity Vet Specialists + Emergency Care a place where expertise, compassion, and teamwork come together every day.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of the clinic, I bring the same care and attention to the relationships I build with my coworkers, clients, and their pets. I particularly enjoy the people I work with — I call my colleagues "a special bunch" — and take pride in knowing that my efforts directly support animals who cannot speak for themselves.
Why I Chose This Profession
My path into veterinary care came from an unexpected place — I actually grew up afraid of dogs and never had pets of my own, aside from the occasional goldfish won at the fair. Despite this early hesitation, I always felt drawn to working with animals. After starting college with a major in information systems, I made the leap into veterinary care and never looked back. That shift allowed me to follow my curiosity and compassion into a career that combines technical skill, patient care, and teamwork — proof that passion can grow from the most unexpected beginnings.
Work History
I joined Lenity Vet Specialists + Emergency Care in 2019 when Dr. Carlson opened the practice as a surgery-only service, relocating from the East Bay to be part of the team. My professional partnership with Dr. Carlson began back in 2012, giving us a strong foundation of trust and collaboration. Over the years I have loved every aspect of my veterinary journey — from assisting in complex surgeries to ensuring the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Today, as Human Resources Manager, I blend my deep understanding of veterinary care with my passion for fostering a positive, organised, and collaborative workplace.
